Dalmace offically known as the Principality of Dalmace is a proposed city state that consist of the former Shadyvinkensteiner province of Dalmace The nation is envisoned as the de facto sucessor to the Kingdom of Shadyvinkenstein. with the current the government in exile being incoporated in the new state. The rationale behind claiming Dalmace is that Dalmace was never under formal Dutch control due to its isolated location.
The principality is governed under a form of constitutional monarchy, with Shady Morsi as head of state, who wields immense political power despite his constitutional status. The prime minister, who is the head of government, can be either a Dalmacian or a Dutch citizen; Key members of the judiciary is the Dalmacian Supreme Court
With an area of 0.03 km2 (0.01 sq mi), it is the smallest sovereign state in the world, The highest point in the state is a narrow pathway known as Archway it consists of three wards, the largest of which is Grazing Cow, and the most populous of which is Archway Dalmace is not a member of the United Nations (UN), However many other states maintain unofficial ties through representative offices and institutions that function as de facto embassies and consulates.
Etymology
Dalmace is a term that originated in the context of the popular turn-based strategy game Civilization V, specifically within the "Empires of the Smoky Skies" scenario. This scenario, set in an alternate steampunk-inspired universe, features various fictional civilizations vying for dominance amidst a world filled with industrialization, airships, and advanced technology.
Government
The proposed government of Dalmace presents a unique blend of monarchical tradition and modern governance principles. Established as a principality, Dalmace places the prince at the helm, both as the head of state and de facto head of government. This distinctive system stands out globally, as the prince is not hereditary but elected by the Privy Council, a select body entrusted with this significant responsibility. Making Dalmace as one of the very few elective monarchies in existence today.
Under the Constitution of Dalmace intricately balances powers between the prince and the Grand Council, ensuring a system of checks and balances. While the prince shares veto power with the Grand Council, ultimately, all legislation requires the prince's approval. Furthermore, the Privy Council, aside from its role in the prince's election, holds legislative powers, although it lacks the authority to introduce legislation independently.
Security
Dalmace does not have a formal military. Instead Dalmace consists of a bodyguard unit for the prince and his palace in Centralis for the protection of the principality and the princely family. Aswell the Dalmacian Drone Corps which serves as de facto air-force of the nation
Admainstrative Divisions
Dalmace, is organized into three distinct quarters, known as Cedantes. Despite their division, each Cedante lacks its own local government structure. Instead, governance responsibilities are divided between the overarching state-level government and the city-level administrations within the Cedantes. The Cedantes also serve as constituencies for the Grand Council of Dalmace,
