the Shadyvinkenstein Government-in Exile often referred to as the Shadyvinkensteiner Society , is an unregisterd non-profit political organization based in the Netherlands, . Its organization is modeled after an elective parliamentary government, composed of a judiciary branch, a legislative branch, and an executive branch.

Founded by Timo Vink and Shady Morsi, the SVGIE was established with the explicit aim of reconstructing the cultural and collective memories of the former state of Shadyvinkenstein. The overarching goal of the government is not only to document and archive the historical legacy but also to facilitate reconnections with the prior citizens of the state, a decade after its dissolution in 2011.The primary focus of this institution is centered around cultural preservation, encompassing the authoring of reports, issuing press releases, administering a network of schools, organizing various cultural activities, and preserving the historical archives of Shadyvinkensteiner heritage.

The Shadyvinkensteini Government-in Exile does not lay claim to the former territory, as of the year 2021, due to its substantial demolition and the erecting of a stone fence on its land, with the original symbolic tree having been cut down. Moreover, the organization does not engage in formal foreign relations with other entities. However, the SVGIE maintains informal relations with the Viadalvian Commonwealth, which extends administrative support to the SVGIE. Of particular significance is the commemoration and honor of the first treaty that Shadyvinkenstein entered into with another entity, namely the Republic of Fieldton.

As of October 31st, 2023, the Parliament of the Shadyvinkenstein Government-in Exile has officially acknowledged Kevin I, an individual who self-proclaimed as the king in exile, as the second and final king of the Kingdom of Shadyvinkenstein.

The early history of Shadyvinkenstein is characterized as a "fuzzy set of memories," predominantly lost due to the closure of Hyves, severed contact with former citizens, and the proliferation of rumors and legends about this erstwhile state, circulated by both Shadyvinkensteiners and non-Shadyvinkensteiners. Following the closure of the nation, its territory was initially claimed by the Shadyvinkensteini Government-in-Exile until 2012 and subsequently by various micronations such as Sneazistan/Snazopol, Viadalvia, and Hoogwaard. An attempt to revitalize Shadyvinkenstein in a more serious manner was considered in 2015 but was later abandoned due to a lack of participation from the original citizens. In the year 2010, Shady Morsi and Stein Dros made a discovery of an abandoned building in close proximity to Morsi's school. This led to their decision to declare the establishment of the Republic of Shadystein. Subsequently, the republic underwent a transformation into a monarchy, assuming the name Shadyvinkenstein, with Shady ascending to the position of King following an election. Timo Vink and J. Breier were appointed as Royal Advisors during this period.

In February 2010, Shady Morsi initiated the formation of the Shadyvinkensteini Border Guard (SBG). The SBG's primary objective was to apprehend Dutch civilians, primarily children, particularly girls seeking to establish their independent space, who illegally crossed the Shadyvinkensteini border. Upon capturing a Dutch civilian, the individual was typically deported. Shadyvinkenstein maintained stringent border policies, permitting entry exclusively to those affiliated with the kingdom or invited by the King.

During the months of March to May 2010, the Kingdom of Shadyvinkenstein experienced the pinnacle of its golden age. The nation's presence was acknowledged in school geography books, and Shadyvinkenstein even launched its own Weather Balloon into space as a symbol of its independence. This era allowed the rulers of Shadyvinkenstein the freedom to delve into more artistic and cultural pursuits. King Shady governed by appointing individuals to governmental positions based on their merit. Notably, the sole female citizen, Barbara B., was appointed by Shady to the esteemed position of Queen.

The events leading to the establishment of Shadyvinkenstein involved confrontations between this group, referred to as the "girls' clique," and the Shadyvinkenstein Border Guard, who were attempting to enforce the removal of non-Shadyvinkensteiner citizens from the territory. Notably, these incidents led to tensions and conflicts that escalated to the involvement of the staff of the Leo Kannerschool. In response to the growing discord and in an unprecedented move, the staff of the Leo Kannerschool undertook what was described as an "invasion" to depose the self-proclaimed Kingdom. This led to the exile of all citizens of Shadyvinkenstein.

Original Government in exile

The Shadyvinkenstein goverment in exile's control around late 2011-12

During the political turmoil following the fall of Shadyvinkenstein to Dutch Authorities (mainly school staff) the government's exile from the country, efforts were made to relocate and establish Shadyvinkenstein in a different territory, asserting ownership over the entire area. This move was coupled with a determination to continue resistance against Dutch encroachment. In the process, a lot of former Shadyvinkensteiner citizens tried to sneak in the former now closed off territory of Shadyvinkenstein This period saw the emergence of numerous partisan kingdoms engaged in conflict against the Dutch and the newly declared Republic of Drusia, led by Joey Verhoeven. The former minister of affairs of Shadyvinkenstein

The govenrment in exile itself became internally divided into two distinct factions: the Reformers and the Traditionalists. The Reformers, while unified in their cause, the Traditionalists struggled to reach a consensus on the monarchy. Upon Kevin's proclamation as king, dissent arose within the ranks, leading to a rebellion by Shady and Stein, resulting in Kevin's deposition. Consequently, Shady Morsi was reinstated as the monarch of Shadyvinkenstein. Subsequently, the government experienced significant instability and ultimately lapsed into a state of inactivity, leading to its collapse. With Morsi choosing to form a new nation, the Republic of Hoogwaard

During its historical period under Hoogwaard's governance, Shadyvinkenstein was designated as a province within the territorial jurisdiction of Hoogwaard. It emerged as a development zone initiated by the government, operating under a semi-autonomous monarchy with King Kevin as its reigning monarch. However, following the dissolution of Hoogwaard at a later stage, the administrative structure of Shadyvinkenstein underwent a transformation. And was once unclaimed

The trial that triggered the Zyablikistan Affair

On December 28, 2013, a pivotal discussion occurred between President Shady Morsi and Deniz Tecan regarding the future of Shadyvinkenstein. President Morsi expressed a desire to disassociate from Shadyvinkenstein, leading to the decision to transfer sovereignty to Snežanopol in order to prevent the kingdom from dissolution. The subsequent day, December 29, witnessed Emiel Hardy, then the reigning monarch of Mahuset, assuming representation of Shadyvinkenstein.

Following a legal dispute resulting in Morsi's removal from power, the nation underwent a transformation and was rebranded as Zyablikistan, under the governance of Joseph Kennedy as governor. This shift triggered a public outcry, prompting the populace to rally and declare the establishment of the Republic of Shadyvinkenstein. In response to these changes, the populace rebelled against the imposed governance and declared the establishment of the Republic of Shadyvinkenstein. With the support of Viadalvia, they launched an invasion against Zyablikistan. This conflict saw the return of Shady Morsi, who regained leadership and assumed the position of head of state in the newly proclaimed Republic of Shadyvinkenstein. Shadyvinkenstein was then dissolved for good. As the last Viadalvian citizens who where students of Leo Kannerschool SO has graduated.

Arbor Lignum was a micronation that emerged from a period of transition within the sovereign entity known as Shadyvinkenstein. On 21 August 2016, the Shadyvinkensteiner government proposed a comprehensive transformation, including a change in the nation's name. This initiative allowed citizens to submit suggestions for the new name, resulting in Shady Morsi's proposal of "New Batavia," which was subsequently adopted as the state's new nomenclature.

Following the name change, the government implemented largely cosmetic constitutional modifications. Notable alterations included the revision of the National Anthem, changes to military symbols, and the official abolition of capital punishment. However, the era of New Batavia proved to be short-lived, as the creators eventually grew dissatisfied with the name and the direction it represented.

Shady Morsi, who concurrently worked as a teacher's assistant at his former elementary school, saw an opportunity to revive Shadyvinkenstein. However, this resurrection took on an altered form, with an alternative name and the establishment of the nation on MicroWikia. Despite these efforts, Arbor Lignum failed to capture the interest of the Shadyvinkensteiner populace, and the nation experienced a quiet demise. The once-prominent Kingdom of Shadyvinkenstein was relegated to the annals of history, as Arbor Lignum faded away, marking the end of an intriguing but short-lived chapter in micronational history.

Shadyvinkisteini revisionism emerged as a significant challenge during this period, with concerns about the nation's unserious nature and the unwieldy size of its name. In response to these issues, Shady Morsi proclaimed the establishment of Arbor Lignum on February 2, 2018. Subsequently, on February 10, the monarchy was abolished in favor of a directional state. By June 15th, 2018, access to the original territory of Shadyvinkenstein was restricted, due to Morsi retiring as a teachers assistant. Marking the end of an era for Shadyvinkensteiner citizens.

Current Government in exile

The current territory of Shadyvinkenstein in 2019 with the Narrows dryed up

In December 2021, a decade after the dissolution of the Shadyvinkensteiner state, Timo Vink and Shady Morsi established a formal Shadyvinkensteini Government-in-Exile with the objective of reconstructing the memories and culture of the former state. This Government-in-Exile, however, does not lay claim to its former territory as of 2021, considering it largely demolished, with a stone fence erected and the original tree cut down. Nor does it engage in foreign relations with other entities.

Recent History

The Shadyvinkenstein Government-in-Exile (SVSGIE) underwent a notable transformation in 2023 under the leadership of Shady Morsi. Initially, the government in exile had been largely symbolic and inactive. However, Morsi took the initiative to reactivate and revitalize it, transforming it into a functional entity. This revitalization included the establishment of various departments and the initiation of unofficial diplomatic contacts with other micronations, such as the Great Turan State, Mahuset, and the remnants of the Viadalvian Commonwealth. and informal contacts within the MicroWiki Discord

In his efforts to preserve Shadyvinkenstein's uniqueness and tradition, Morsi adopted a stance of cautious engagement with the international micronational community. While fostering relations with other micronations, Morsi aimed to keep Shadyvinkenstein less influenced and more isolated, adhering to the principles of its distinct cultural identity. Moreover, Morsi expressed a desire to democratize Shadyvinkenstein and attract new citizens. However, the existing charter posed a challenge, as Vice President Vink asserted that Shadyvinkenstein was exclusively for original citizens.

In order to address this conflict, a compromise was reached, allowing blood relatives of original citizens to attain Shadyvinkensteiner citizenship. Despite this concession, opposition voices criticized Morsi, alleging that the SVSGIE served as a mere ploy to provide plausible deniability in the face of inquiries about his micronational past when engaged in macronational politics. Morsi vehemently denied these claims, asserting that his primary motivation was "the preservation of Shadyvinkensteiner culture, while simultaneously recognizing the importance of presenting Shadyvinkenstein to the wider world."

In the year 2023, the Shadyvinkenstein Government-in-Exile has transcended its former role as a mere symbolic cultural association, assuming a pivotal position as the authentic representatives of the Shadyvinkensteiner people, nation, faith, and community. No longer confined to the realm of symbolism, the government-in-exile has redefined its mission, embodying the aspirations and preserving the cultural essence of the Shadyvinkensteiner populace. Through a concerted effort, it has emerged as the genuine voice of the people, advocating for their rights and interests on the global stage. Furthermore, in a momentous development, the Government-in-Exile has embarked on the journey to rediscover and re-establish the Shadyvinkensteiner state, a testament to its unwavering commitment to the restoration of a sovereign and thriving Shadyvinkenstein. This transformative shift underscores the resilience and determination of the Shadyvinkensteiner people, as they actively strive towards the realization of a reinvigorated national identity.
