The Viadalvian Capitalist Party (VCP), while supporting Viadalvia’s membership in the EMU, opposed holding an election for what they viewed as a presidential appointee. VCP caucus secretary Wittemans described the election as a "waste of time and a Morsist popularity referendum." The VCP initially aimed to nominate 19 candidates for the election as a satirical effort to highlight the flaws and contradictions inherent in the election process. The party’s leadership believed that by overloading the ballot with candidates, they could draw attention to the absurdities and manipulation often present in the political system. The idea was to expose how elections can sometimes serve as a mere formality, with political parties prioritizing image and media strategy over genuine representation and debate. However, the VCP decided to back off from this plan after total opposition to the idea was expressed during the VCCongress, the party's internal congress. Members argued that such a move could undermine the credibility of the party and potentially alienate voters who might not understand the underlying satirical intention. Sloekers ran the most aggressive and far-reaching campaign of all three candidates, making sure to visit every province in Viadalvia. His strategy was centered around his strong opposition to the European Union of Micronations, advocating for Viadalvia's freedom and sovereignty. He passionately argued that Viadalvia should not be bound by external entities and emphasized the need for the country to stand alone and independent, free from the constraints of international influence. His message resonated with many citizens who felt that Viadalvia's identity was at risk of being overshadowed by larger regional organizations. Sloekers presented himself as the staunch defender of Viadalvian nationalism, focusing on preserving the country’s autonomy and fighting for what he believed was its rightful place in the world.
In contrast Meanwhile, Morsi and the SLP did not engage in an extensive campaign. The opposition had already decided to boycott the elections, reducing the urgency for a large-scale effort. Morsi's focus was more on ensuring voter participation, given the risk of low turnout due to the absence of a competitive race. Rather than engaging in traditional campaigning, Morsi used social media platforms and grassroots initiatives to mobilize the people. Their campaign was rooted in the belief that democracy could only be achieved through full participation, even in the face of political stagnation. Morsi's main push was to encourage Viadalvians to vote, emphasizing the importance of having their voices heard, despite the unusual political context. With the hashtag #ViadalviaInEuropa, Morsi sought to appeal to citizens who were passionate about Viadalvia's place within a broader European context, advocating for greater integration and cooperation with neighboring nations. The hashtag #EyropeViadalcia became a symbol of the hope that Viadalvia could remain a strong and independent voice within Europe, aligning with progressive values while still asserting its unique identity.

The 2014 election marked a significant chapter in Viadalvia's political history, with the Social Liberal Party (SLP) securing a decisive victory. Their two candidates, Baak and Khan, triumphed by winning an impressive 80% of the vote. However, this overwhelming victory was clouded by a low voter turnout, a consequence of a boycott by the main opposition parties. The turnout, at a mere 21%, marked the lowest in Viadalvian electoral history, raising concerns about the legitimacy of the results. Despite the victory, the Social Liberal Party found themselves in a contentious position, with critics within the VCP arguing that the SLP lacked a true mandate from the people, citing the dismal turnout as evidence of a fractured democratic process.
Baak and Khan, despite the criticism, assumed their roles as the Viadalvian representatives in the European Union of Micronations (EUM) Parliament. Baak, in particular, was appointed as the faction leader, and both he and Khan became voices for Viadalvia on the European stage. However, the SLP's ambitions extended beyond their parliamentary roles; they sought to form a progressive bloc within the EUM Parliament. Unfortunately, their efforts to unite like-minded factions into a cohesive group were thwarted by the political structure of the EUM, where member governments had the power to appoint delegates. This made it difficult for the SLP to build the broad coalition they had envisioned.
In their time in the EUM Parliament, the SLP caucus strongly advocated for direct elections, hoping to bring more democratic legitimacy to the parliamentary process. They initially attempted to bring the Viadalvian perspective to the table, pushing for policies that reflected the nation’s interests and values. Their stance in the EUM often aligned with the goal of protecting and promoting Viadalvia’s autonomy, even within the context of broader European integration. In the years following the 2014 election, the SLP continued to support Viadalvia’s best interests in the EUM Parliament, particularly in relation to economic and political matters that affected the country directly.
However, the political landscape shifted in 2014 with the election of Timo Vink, a new political figure who sought to centralize control within the EUM. Vink proposed replacing the elected delegates, including the Viadalvian representatives, with appointed officials to streamline the decision-making process. Despite this push for change, the EUM Parliament fell into a state of inactivity, leading to uncertainty about the future of Viadalvia’s involvement in the Union. In response to this stagnation, Vink eventually relieved the elected members, including Baak and Khan, from their duties, signaling a major shift in the functioning of the EUM.
As the years passed, the political fortunes of the SLP evolved. Baak, after leaving the EUM Parliament, was elected as the leader of the SLP in the Voltak City Senate, marking a return to domestic politics. He continued to champion progressive policies, pushing for reforms that reflected the party's vision for a modern, inclusive Viadalvia. Meanwhile, Tomaz Khan, once a prominent figure in the SLP’s political agenda, chose to retire from politics altogether. Khan's departure from the public eye was followed by his untimely death in 2021. Though it was never officially confirmed or denied, it was widely believed that Khan had passed away due to complications related to COVID-19, adding a layer of uncertainty and sorrow to the political landscape.

The election was called by President Shady Morsi, who announced the writ of election after Viadalvia became a member state of the EMU. Viadalvia joined the European Union of Micronations in 2013, securing two seats in the EUMP. The government, led by President Shady Morsi, scheduled elections to fill these seats. As its influence continued, the party's reformist agenda encountered resistance, particularly in areas related to state intervention in the economy. Many began to question whether the party’s mixed commitment to both social liberalism and free-market policies could be effectively maintained in an evolving society.

the Monarchist Party was a small political party in the early days of Viadalvia. Despite that the party played only a marginal role in Viadalvian politics. the party iniciated the 2013 Viadalvian monarchy referendum. The party had mainly support in Dolmenia which was at the time annexed by Viadalvia and also returned its MP. and party leader Guy van Volen with a 100% turnout. The Monarchist party also proclaimed that the Peace and Unity Party was its Hasani affiliate though no contact between the MP and the Peace and Unity Party ever existed. It was the only monarchist movement in Viadalvia until the rebellious entity of the Viadalvian Empire was formed though it was rather seen as a militarist dictatorship. the Monarchist Party was notorious for abstaining in parliament (offically to boycott the republican government)
After Dolmenia declared its independence the party was dissolved

The Democratic Front (Dutch: Democratisch Front, Democratische Front) briefly known as the was a Viadalvian far-right political party which existed between 2013 and 2018. The party represented the importance of indigenous Viadalvian society. That organisation had been established to oppose what its members perceived as the national socialist tendencies and Greater Viadalvian statehood

It opposes both the Communism of the Soviet Union and neoliberal capitalism. It prefers a mixed economy with private ownership, but with a strong management role reserved for the state. In foreign policy, the party places a strong emphasis on "isolationism and Viadalvia for the Viadalvians". The DF regards the then Ashukov Federation as Viadalvian main external threats. and called for then Ashukov president Jacob Huff to be tribunaled. Other things the Democratic Front supported where
