The Red Triangle Party was a political party that advocated for the re-establishment of Viadalvia following its dissolution. The party sought to revive the Viadalvian Republic and contested elections in various successor states, with limited success. Since most Viadalvians did not support the re-establishment of Viadalvia However, it achieved a significant victory by forming the government of the Secular Jewish Republic of Brochar, where it successfully elected its President. and Government
Ideology
The Red Triangle Party was primarily driven by:
- Viadalvian Restorationism – advocating for the revival of the Viadalvian Republic as a sovereign state.
- Democratic Governance – supporting democratic institutions and elections in successor states.
- Secularism – particularly influential in Brochar, where it promoted a secular Jewish identity.
The party's platform also focused on political unity among former Viadalvian territories, diplomatic efforts for international recognition, and economic cooperation among successor states.
Elections
The Red Triangle Party contested elections in several Viadalvian successor states, but it struggled to gain widespread support due to lack of enthousasm. In Derkzap the presidential candidate M. van Volen lost by 30 points Despite its limited electoral success, the party remained active in political discourse and grassroots activism. In Pathalla it won one of the fifteen seats in the Pathallan Parliament
Ruling Party of Brochar
The party’s most notable achievement was in the Republic of Brochar, where it managed to: Win a parliamentary majority. And to elect the president. Since Brocharian politics was largely dominated by independent candidates, the Red Triangle Party (RTP) became the only organized political party in the country. As a result, despite Brochar maintaining formal democratic structures, it effectively operated as a de facto one-party state under RTP leadership. Following his election, President E. Yeshov undertook several initiatives to strengthen Viadalvian identity within Brochar. Among his most significant actions were, Renaming the country as the Former Viadalvian Republic of Brochar, explicitly acknowledging its connection to the defunct Viadalvian Republic. and Restoring the historical name of "Alenkandar", despite the fact that the actual city of Alenkandar was located outside Brochar’s territory, in the successor state of Derkzap (which had since been renamed Yerucham). These symbolic moves demonstrated the RTP's commitment to Viadalvian restorationism, even as the political reality of an independent Viadalvia remained unlikely. The RTP government sought to position Brochar as the custodian of Viadalvia’s political and cultural heritage, maintaining its symbols, traditions, and governmental structures while functioning as a separate state.
Decline
While the Red Triangle Party saw some success in Brochar, its broader goal of re-establishing Viadalvia remained unfulfilled. Over time, the party's influence waned as successor states solidified their own national identities. However, it remains an important historical example of Viadalvian restorationist politics.

The Minister of Affairs of Viadalvia was a cabinet position in the government of Viadalvia that existed from 2014 to 2016. The position was created as a compromise after the 2014-2015 Viadalvian constitutional crisis for former President Shady Morsi, following an initiative by Timo Vink, who sought to bring Morsi back into Viadalvian politics due to his extensive involvement in foreign affairs. The Minister of Affairs had no direct equivalent in other countries. However, some analysts have compared it to the Secretary of State in a U.S. state, which often has a mix of foreign and domestic responsibilities at the state level.
After leaving the presidency, Shady Morsi remained an influential figure in Viadalvian politics, particularly in diplomatic matters. In 2014, Timo Vink attempted to appoint Morsi as Prime Minister, but the National Party -controlled State Council blocked the nomination. As a result, the Ministry of Affairs was established as an alternative role that would allow Morsi to return to government in a high-ranking position. The Minister of Affairs was a unique role, as it combined responsibilities typically handled by separate ministries, namely:
- Foreign Affairs – overseeing diplomatic relations, international agreements, and foreign policy.
- Interior Affairs – managing domestic governance, security, and internal administration.
The position was also third in the line of succession for the Viadalvian presidency, following the President and Prime Minister. The Ministry of Affairs was dissolved in 2016, and its functions were redistributed between the re-established Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of the Interior. The position of Minister of Affairs was not reintroduced in later Viadalvian governments.
2013 Viadalvian EUM election
| |||||||||||||||||||||
|
The 2013 Elections for the Viadalvian Delegation to the European Union of Micronations Parliament were held in September 2013. This was the first election for Viadalvia’s delegation following the nation's accession to the European Union of Micronations (EMU). The election was called by President Shady Morsi, who announced the writ of election after Viadalvia became a member state of the EMU. Viadalvia joined the European Union of Micronations in 2013, securing two seats in the EUMP. The government, led by President Shady Morsi, scheduled elections to fill these seats. The elections were intended to establish Viadalvia’s representation in the EMU and ensure active participation in its parliamentary affairs.
Viadalvia was the only EMU member state that elected its delegates directly to the EUMP. The nation was granted a special exemption allowing it to conduct direct elections, a system modeled after the European Parliament in the macronational European Union. Other EMU states appointed their delegates through government selection rather than direct elections. Leylandiistan and Scotannaea attempted to introduce direct elections for their EUMP members but ultimately failed in their efforts.
The election saw the victory of the Social Liberal Party whose two candidates who were relativly unknown won 80% of the vote. with a third candidate running on an anti-EMU platform gaining the reminder of the vote. Due to a boycott by the main opposition parties,(Monarchist, Viadalvian Capitalist and the Communist Party) the turnout was significantly low, standing at 21%, marking the lowest turnout in Viadalvian electoral history. This was also the only election in Viadalvia (aside from presidential elections) that was not conducted using a party-list system. Instead, candidates were elected individually rather than through proportional representation.
Opposition Boycott
The opposition parties cited alleged electoral unfairness and dissatisfaction with Viadalvia’s membership in the EMU as reasons for their boycott. This widespread opposition boycott led to an extremely low voter turnout, as opposition supporters largely abstained from participating in the election.
Viadalvian Capitalist
The Viadalvian Capitalist Party (VCP), while supporting Viadalvia’s membership in the EMU, opposed holding an election for what they viewed as a presidential appointee. VCP caucus secretary Wittemans described the election as a "waste of time and a Morsist popularity referendum." The VCP initially aimed to nominate 19 candidates for the election as a satirical effort to highlight the flaws and contradictions inherent in the election process. The party’s leadership believed that by overloading the ballot with candidates, they could draw attention to the absurdities and manipulation often present in the political system. The idea was to expose how elections can sometimes serve as a mere formality, with political parties prioritizing image and media strategy over genuine representation and debate. However, the VCP decided to back off from this plan after total opposition to the idea was expressed during the VCCongress, the party's internal congress. Members argued that such a move could undermine the credibility of the party and potentially alienate voters who might not understand the underlying satirical intention. Faced with this internal resistance and the risk of political backlash, the VCP ultimately decided to abandon their satirical nomination strategy,
Other parties
The Communist Party of Viadalvia opposed the EMU on ideological grounds, arguing that it served "capitalist interests and would suppress Viadalvian workers." Meanwhile, the Monarchist Party argued that electing representatives unaccountable to the people of Viadalvia would harm the nation's sovereignty.
Candidates
Social Liberal
Anticipating a competitive race against the Viadalvian Capitalists, President Shady Morsi sought to recruit strong candidates for the Social Liberal Party, aiming to secure both available seats. Morsi attempted to persuade Robert Erasmus, MP, and Stijn Dros, the second-in-command of the SLP, to run. However, both declined the opportunity, as they did not wish to lose their seats in the national parliament.
Upon realizing that the opposition parties would not field any candidates, the SLP Presidium officially selected Daniel Baak, former deputy leader of the Alenkandar City Council, and Tomaz Khan, a former football player for the Viadalvian National Football Team. Baak was appointed as caucus leader following the election. Both were nominated unopposed, securing their places as SLP's representatives in the EUMP
Nominees
- Daniel Baak, former deputy leader of the Alenkandar City Council
- Tomaz Khan, former football player for the Viadalvian National Football Team.
Declined
- Robert Erasmus, Member of the State Council
- Stein Dros, Member of the State Council, Future Prime Minsiter and 2014 SLP presidential nominee
- Shady Morsi, Incumbent President of Viadalvia
Independent
TJM. Sloekers, a VCP member, expressed his desire to run. Sloekers campaigned primarily on an anti-EMU platform, opposing Viadalvia’s membership in the European Union of Micronations. Additionally, he sought to organize opposition forces with the goal of winning at least one seat in the election. However, due to the lack of official backing from his party and the widespread opposition boycott, his campaign did not gain traction, Sloekers campaigned the most hardest of all three candidates.. as President Morsi was mainly focused on increasing turnout
Campaign
Sloekers ran the most aggressive and far-reaching campaign of all three candidates, making sure to visit every province in Viadalvia. His strategy was centered around his strong opposition to the European Union of Micronations, advocating for Viadalvia's freedom and sovereignty. He passionately argued that Viadalvia should not be bound by external entities and emphasized the need for the country to stand alone and independent, free from the constraints of international influence. His message resonated with many citizens who felt that Viadalvia's identity was at risk of being overshadowed by larger regional organizations. Sloekers presented himself as the staunch defender of Viadalvian nationalism, focusing on preserving the country’s autonomy and fighting for what he believed was its rightful place in the world.
In contrast Meanwhile, Morsi and the SLP did not engage in an extensive campaign. The opposition had already decided to boycott the elections, reducing the urgency for a large-scale effort. Morsi's focus was more on ensuring voter participation, given the risk of low turnout due to the absence of a competitive race. Rather than engaging in traditional campaigning, Morsi used social media platforms and grassroots initiatives to mobilize the people. Their campaign was rooted in the belief that democracy could only be achieved through full participation, even in the face of political stagnation. Morsi's main push was to encourage Viadalvians to vote, emphasizing the importance of having their voices heard, despite the unusual political context. With the hashtag #ViadalviaInEuropa, Morsi sought to appeal to citizens who were passionate about Viadalvia's place within a broader European context, advocating for greater integration and cooperation with neighboring nations. The hashtag #EyropeViadalcia became a symbol of the hope that Viadalvia could remain a strong and independent voice within Europe, aligning with progressive values while still asserting its unique identity.

Template:Election box winning candidate with party link no change Template:Election box winning candidate with party link no change Template:Election box candidate with party link no change Template:Election box end The 2014 election marked a significant chapter in Viadalvia's political history, with the Social Liberal Party (SLP) securing a decisive victory. Their two candidates, Baak and Khan, triumphed by winning an impressive 80% of the vote. However, this overwhelming victory was clouded by a low voter turnout, a consequence of a boycott by the main opposition parties. The turnout, at a mere 21%, marked the lowest in Viadalvian electoral history, raising concerns about the legitimacy of the results. Despite the victory, the Social Liberal Party found themselves in a contentious position, with critics within the VCP arguing that the SLP lacked a true mandate from the people, citing the dismal turnout as evidence of a fractured democratic process.
Baak and Khan, despite the criticism, assumed their roles as the Viadalvian representatives in the European Union of Micronations (EUM) Parliament. Baak, in particular, was appointed as the faction leader, and both he and Khan became voices for Viadalvia on the European stage. However, the SLP's ambitions extended beyond their parliamentary roles; they sought to form a progressive bloc within the EUM Parliament. Unfortunately, their efforts to unite like-minded factions into a cohesive group were thwarted by the political structure of the EUM, where member governments had the power to appoint delegates. This made it difficult for the SLP to build the broad coalition they had envisioned.
In their time in the EUM Parliament, the SLP caucus strongly advocated for direct elections, hoping to bring more democratic legitimacy to the parliamentary process. They initially attempted to bring the Viadalvian perspective to the table, pushing for policies that reflected the nation’s interests and values. Their stance in the EUM often aligned with the goal of protecting and promoting Viadalvia’s autonomy, even within the context of broader European integration. In the years following the 2014 election, the SLP continued to support Viadalvia’s best interests in the EUM Parliament, particularly in relation to economic and political matters that affected the country directly.
However, the political landscape shifted in 2014 with the election of Timo Vink, a new political figure who sought to centralize control within the EUM. Vink proposed replacing the elected delegates, including the Viadalvian representatives, with appointed officials to streamline the decision-making process. Despite this push for change, the EUM Parliament fell into a state of inactivity, leading to uncertainty about the future of Viadalvia’s involvement in the Union. In response to this stagnation, Vink eventually relieved the elected members, including Baak and Khan, from their duties, signaling a major shift in the functioning of the EUM.
As the years passed, the political fortunes of the SLP evolved. Baak, after leaving the EUM Parliament, was elected as the leader of the SLP in the Voltak City Senate, marking a return to domestic politics. He continued to champion progressive policies, pushing for reforms that reflected the party's vision for a modern, inclusive Viadalvia. Meanwhile, Tomaz Khan, once a prominent figure in the SLP’s political agenda, chose to retire from politics altogether. Khan's departure from the public eye was followed by his untimely death in 2021. Though it was never officially confirmed or denied, it was widely believed that Khan had passed away due to complications related to COVID-19, adding a layer of uncertainty and sorrow to the political landscape.

The Social Liberal Party of Viadalvia was a political party in Viadalvia from 2013 until 2019, which played a pivotal role in shaping the country's political landscape. Initially, it was the only party of Viadalvia, deeply integrated into the Viadalvian public bureaucracy, positioning itself as the dominant political force in the country. The party was socially liberal, advocating for individual rights and progressive social policies, while also supporting state interventionism in the economy. It sought to balance welfare provisions with a commitment to free-market principles, making it a unique entity in Viadalvia's political scene. Despite its liberal social stance, the party strongly opposed social democracy, positioning itself as a defender of economic freedom within a structured state framework.
From 2013 to 2014, the party’s vision was widely embraced, and it dominated the political sphere, largely shaping the direction of the country's governance. However, despite losing the presidency in 2014, the party managed to hold significant power, retaining control of the Council of State and the Prime Minister's office from 2014 to 2016. This period marked a shift for the party as it faced increasing internal and external pressures, leading to a gradual shift from its original left-leaning platform towards a more centre-left position. This evolution reflected changing political dynamics and a growing desire to modernize its approach while still retaining its core values.
However, in the 2018 general elections, the SLP experienced a significant downturn, securing only 5 out of the 30 seats in parliament. This poor performance marked the beginning of its decline, as voter dissatisfaction with its policies and internal struggles became apparent. Despite this, the party remained influential in the political landscape, with key members continuing to hold positions in the government. One notable figure, Gylden van Berkel, was appointed Minister of Economics in the NP-dominated Vink Cabinet. His appointment was seen as a move to reconcile the SLP’s influence in the face of its diminishing parliamentary presence, though it highlighted the party’s struggle to maintain relevance in the shifting political environment. Despite its increasing centrality in Viadalvian politics, the Social Liberal Party’s policies began to face growing criticism. As its influence continued, the party's reformist agenda encountered resistance, particularly in areas related to state intervention in the economy. Many began to question whether the party’s mixed commitment to both social liberalism and free-market policies could be effectively maintained in an evolving society.

It was rather the moderate wing of the Unionist Party with more civil libertarian adherns. Initially a minor opposition party, the party supported the Nationalists and forming a coalition government with them after the 2018 election. The Staatsraad (State Council), later re-translated as the Council of State, was the unicameral quasi-legislative body of the Viadalvian Republic (commonly known as Viadalvia). Initially, it served as a partially legislative and executive institution before evolving into a fully-fledged legislature following constitutional reforms. Originally, the Staatsraad functioned as a semi-legislative body with limited powers:
- The cabinet held executive and legislative authority, meaning it could draft and enact laws.
- The Staatsraad had no right of initiative (the ability to propose laws) and no right of amendment (the ability to modify laws).
- The Staatsraad's primary role was to review and approve cabinet-drafted legislation rather than actively shaping policy.
- Additionally, members of the Staatsraad could simultaneously hold positions in the cabinet.
The 2014 Constitution fundamentally reshaped the Staatsraad, granting it:
- Full legislative authority, allowing it to propose, amend, and pass laws independently of the executive.
- Separation from the cabinet, ensuring the legislative and executive branches operated independently. This change solidified the Staatsraad’s role as the primary lawmaking body of Viadalvia, aligning it more closely with traditional parliamentary systems.
In 2018, the Coolidge Reforms expanded the Staatsraad to 30 seats, 20 of them were elected through party-list proportional representation. While 10 were appointed by the President This reform transformed the body into a fully legislative institution, significantly enhancing its authority and independence.

the Monarchist Party was a small political party in the early days of Viadalvia. Despite that the party played only a marginal role in Viadalvian politics. the party iniciated the 2013 Viadalvian monarchy referendum. The party had mainly support in Dolmenia which was at the time annexed by Viadalvia and also returned its MP. and party leader Guy van Volen with a 100% turnout. The Monarchist party also proclaimed that the Peace and Unity Party was its Hasani affiliate though no contact between the MP and the Peace and Unity Party ever existed. It was the only monarchist movement in Viadalvia until the rebellious entity of the Viadalvian Empire was formed though it was rather seen as a militarist dictatorship. the Monarchist Party was notorious for abstaining in parliament (offically to boycott the republican government)
After Dolmenia declared its independence the party was dissolved

The Democratic Front (Dutch: Democratisch Front, Democratische Front) briefly known as the was a Viadalvian far-right political party which existed between 2013 and 2018. The party represented the importance of indigenous Viadalvian society. That organisation had been established to oppose what its members perceived as the national socialist tendencies and Greater Viadalvian statehood
Despite the party's name, it is frequently described as "neither Democratic nor a front". The DF was centred around Verhaar and is often described as populist, nationalist,or ultranationalist. and has also been described as fascist and white supremacist, The DF sought"a revival of Viadalvia as a great power". It opposes both the Communism of the Soviet Union and neoliberal capitalism. It prefers a mixed economy with private ownership, but with a strong management role reserved for the state. In foreign policy, the party places a strong emphasis on "isolationism and Viadalvia for the Viadalvians". The DF regards the then Ashukov Federation as Viadalvian main external threats. and called for then Ashukov president Jacob Huff to be tribunaled. Other things the Democratic Front supported where
- Harsh punishment of the LGBT community,
