The Monarchy of Hasanistan (Hasani: Hasanistan Monarşisi) is the system of government in Hasanistan in which a monarch serves as the head of state, having been first established on 7 October 2016 under Pavlovian rule. The Hasanistani monarchy has been established and disestablished numerous times since its formation to the current day. The monarchy collectively refers to the sovereign, as well as related individuals or institutions such as their consort, family and the political bodies directly associated with them. Since its establishment, Daniyal has been the Shahanshah of Hasanistan under different regal names.

The concept of a Hasanistani monarchy had been proposed as early as 2014. The monarchy of Hasanistan was established on 7 October 2016 by approval of the Kurultay of Hasanistan to further integrate Hasanistan within the Empire of Pavlov, with Pavlovian Emperor Alexander IV taking the title as Shahanshah of Hasanistan and the regnal name Iskender IV.[1] The monarchy effectively dissolved during the dissolution of Pavlov. On 25 November 2019, Hasanistan reformed into a monarchy once again and Iskender IV returned as Shahanshah (under the new regnal name Deñiz).[2] During the second reign of the Shahanshah, Hasanistan (along with other royal holdings) was annexed by the Tsardom of Montescano.[3] Following Hasanistan's secession from Montescano on 25 April 2020, Deñiz de facto lost power within Hasanistan and the then-Prime Minister declared himself Naib-i-Şehinşah (Regent).[4] The monarchy was abolished the following day and the Royal Family declared exiled.[5]

Following Deñiz's renunciation of his claim in pretence, there are no current claimants to the Hasanistani monarchy. Support for re-establishing monarchy within Hasanistan has been formally illegal since its abolition.[5]

History

Early proposals

A meeting was held in the Supreme Council of Hasanistan in February 2014, which discussed transforming Hasanistan into a monarchy (either as a khanate or beylik) among other topics during a period when Hasanistan was in a union with Snežanopol.[6][7] In October 2014, a different motion to transform Hasanistan into a monarchy under "Queen Nahal I" was rejected by a vote in the Supreme Council.[8]

The Montescanesque Monarch is represented by their coat of arms, which is also used as the Kingdom's official arms. The present Princely Arms are those of Sovereign Prince Dionisiy. The Princely Standard is the official banner of the Monarch, and consists of the lesser Princely Arms on an Azure field.
