The Ardajan Affair was a decade long conflict between various Ardajani seperatist organizations (mainly Korijgya, APDF and AUFNS) and the central government of Hasanistan (which was often refered to as Batyr by the Ardajanis) The conflict was primarily political and nationalistic, fuelled by Viadalvian imperialism and a desire to annex Northren Hasanistan into Viadalvia, Altough the Viadalvian government was very reserved to claim North Hasanistan. A key issue after the collapse of Korijgya and eventual Viadalvian support for Hasani territorial integrity was the status of Ardajan within Hasanistan with the Ardajani government desiring more autonomy while more radical groups want to seceede from Hasanistan. Autonomists were mostly Turkish, wanted Northern Hasanistan to remain within Hasanistan while Viadalvians wanted Northern Hasanistan to leave Hasanistan and join a united Viadalvia.
