The Konraq Confederacy is a proposed sucessor state of Konraq , commonly known simply the proposed confederacy would be the smallest state in the world by both area and population, The proposed confederacy traces its origins , regions that were historically subject to varying degrees of foreign influence and political fragmentation.
The plans for the Confederacy is organized into a unique non-territorial confederal system in which political authority is divided among three recognized constituent ethnic groups: the Viyadalvyans, the Yabancılars, and the Yezdis Unlike the provinces or states of a confederacy, these communities function as autonomous cultural and political bodies whose membership is based on identity rather than geography, allowing them to operate in many respects as nation-states without fixed territorial boundaries.
The head of state is the President of the Confederation, who serves as *primus inter pares* ("first among equals") among the constituent communities rather than as an executive ruler. The President is assisted by several Vice Presidents who represent the recognized ethnic groups and collectively coordinate matters of defense, foreign affairs, trade, judiciary, and confederal governance.
History
Government
While formally affirming itself as a sovereign state, Konraq is not organized as a conventional republic, federation, or monarchy. Instead, it functions as a non-territorial confederation who claims control over Konraq, a political arrangement in which multiple self-governing ethnicites voluntarily cooperate through common institutions while retaining extensive autonomy over their own internal affairs. Political theorists often describe Konraq as a hybrid between a tribal confederacy, a consociational democracy, and a multinational plural state. The constitutional foundation of the Confederacy rests upon the principle that the constituent peoples of Konraq are partners rather than subjects of a central government. Consequently, the confederal government exercises authority only in matters explicitly delegated to it by the communities. These include foreign affairs, defense, interstate trade, monetary policy, citizenship, judicial arbitration between communities, and the protection of constitutional rights. All other matters are generally reserved for the communities themselves.
At the head of the state stands the President of the Confederation, who serves as primus inter pares ("first among equals") among the leaders of the constituent peoples. Unlike presidents in many republics, the Konraqi President is not regarded as the supreme political authority. Instead, the office exists primarily to coordinate policy, represent the Confederacy abroad, oversee confederal institutions, and mediate disputes between the communities. The President is expected to govern through consensus and persuasion rather than executive power. The nomination of the president is done by the vice presidents aswell the Konraq People's Assembly
Assisting the President are the Vice Presidents of the Confederation, the vice presidents, are ex offico preisdents of their ethnic community, the presidents of the ethnic communities are elected with the execption of the Yezdi, which has a monarchical system and is hereditary. Together, the President and Vice Presidents form the the collective executive branch of government. Major decisions are traditionally made through unanimous or near-unanimous agreement, reflecting the Confederacy's emphasis on cooperation rather than majority rule.
Legislative authority is vested in the Konraq People's Assembly, a body composed of delegates appointed by the constituent communities there are 10 seats, 2 for each recognized community 2 for the other 20 percent of Konraqi society and 2 for Konraqis abroad, Representation is based on community membership rather than territorial districts.
The judiciary is headed by the Supreme Magistrate, which resolves constitutional disputes, arbitrates conflicts between communities, and interprets confederal law. Community courts retain jurisdiction over most internal matters, while the Supreme Magistrate acts primarily as a guarantor of the constitutional compact.
Ethnic Communities
Because the constituent communities are considered political partners rather than administrative subdivisions, they possess a degree of autonomy far exceeding that of provinces or states in most federations. Each community maintains its own governing institutions, educational systems, cultural organizations, and internal legal codes, provided they remain consistent with the Confederacy's constitution.
The Konraq Confederacy officially recognizes three constituent peoples: the Viyadalvyans, Yabancılars, and Yezdis. Together they form the political foundation of the state.
Viyadalvyans
The Viyadalvyans constitute one of the oldest and most influential communities within Konraq. They trace their cultural origins to the traditions of Viadalvian Hasanistan and regard themselves as custodians of the historical legacy of the Federal Republic of Viadalvia.
Politically, Viyadalvyans are generally associated with secularism, constitutionalism, liberal democracy, and civic nationalism. They place considerable emphasis on historical continuity and often advocate preserving institutions inherited from the Viadalvian era. Their political organizations frequently support stronger civil liberties, secular education, and the separation of religion from state affairs.
Although community membership is not territorially defined, the Viyadalvyans maintain their strongest presence in Lower (Kyrgyz) Konraq, where Viadalvian cultural traditions remain particularly influential. The community operates its own cultural councils, educational associations, and representative institutions, all of which contribute to preserving Viyadalvyan identity.
Yabancılars
The Yabancılars emerged as a distinct political and cultural community after 2016. Unlike the Viyadalvyans, they generally lack direct personal experience of Viadalvian Hasanistan and developed their political identity within the independent Konraqi state.
As a result, Yabancılar political thought tends to emphasize the legitimacy of post-2016 institutions and the unique identity of modern Konraq. They are often associated with conservative social values, religious traditionalism, and stronger expressions of Konraqi nationalism. Many Yabancılar view the Confederacy not as the continuation of Viadalvia but as an entirely new political project.
The community's principal demographic base lies in Upper (Kazakh) Konraq, where its cultural and political influence is strongest. Yabancılar institutions often prioritize religious education, cultural preservation, and the development of a distinct Konraqi national narrative separate from earlier Viadalvian traditions.
Yezdis
The Yezdis are the youngest and perhaps most distinctive of Konraq's constituent peoples. Their identity originated as a cultural and political movement inspired by the Khaganate of Yezd, a fictional civilization depicted in Harry Turtledove's Videssos novels. What began as a literary and ideological movement gradually evolved into a genuine cultural community with its own traditions, symbols, and political aspirations.
The Yezdis were instrumental in the Yezdi Revolution and later the Golden Revolution, events that fundamentally reshaped the political landscape of Konraq. Many Yezdis view themselves as the architects of the modern Confederacy and place great importance on civic participation, cultural innovation, and national renewal.
Unlike the Viyadalvyans and Yabancılars, whose identities are rooted in historical populations, the Yezdis are primarily united by a shared ideological and cultural vision. Their institutions focus on cultivating a unique Yezdi heritage, drawing inspiration from Turkic, Persian, and fictional Yezdian traditions.
