The Senate is the upper house of the National Forum, the legislature of Konraq., It has 8 seats which are filled through elections using proportional representation. The constitutional functions of the Senate are enumerated in the Instrument of Government , and its internal workings are specified in greater detail in the Senate Act, The Senate must not exceed to have more members, than the council of representatives and currently numbers 8. (2 for Lower Konraq, 3 for Upper Konraq, 1 representing Konraqis abroad and 2 for Religious Minorities )

The president of the Senate is to step in as Acting President of Konraq in case of an incapacitation or a vacancy, The current officeholder is Ugyur Karatas. Unlike the Council of Representatives, it has been forbidden to swear or using profanity in the Konraqi Senate, Doing so results in explusion, This tradition goes back to the Khanate era
