The Slopfest 2026 Intermicronational Haxball World Cup, also known as the 2026 MicroWorld Cup, is an upcoming intermicronationalesportsassociation football tournament. The tournament will be held between 14 June and mid-July, concurrently with the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and virtually co-hosted by Brennonia, Hasanistan and Yotamistan. The tournament's matches are played on the football browser gameHaxBall in a one-on-one format. The tournament is being organised by the governments of the three host countries, supported by the Intermicronational Football Federation and the Union of Brennonia and Hasanistan.[1]
The 2026 Intermicronational Haxball World Cup will be played over HaxBall, a top-down football-inspired browser game. Matches will be held in a one-on-one format, with each micronation being represented by an individual player. It is envisioned that the tournament will have a multi-stage format with an initial group stage and a subsequent single-elimination knockout stage.[1]
Twenty countries were registered to participate in the 2026 MicroWorld Cup. The majority of the tournament's participants were micronations located in Europe, estimated to be thirteen countries,
Yotamistan, one of the co-hosts, initially planned to compete in the tournament but withdrew before it began, citing "undisclosed technical issues". Despite the country's withdrawal from the competition, Yotamistan will continue to serve as a co-host and participate in the organisation of the MicroWorld Cup.[1]
During the course of the tournament, Gora Mira and Knuffeldierland withdrew from the tournament. Knuffeldierland cited "technical reasons" as the reasons for its withdrawal. Gora Mira's player forfeited due to scheduling concerns and the country did not send a replacement player because of internal political instability.
