Hasanistan debuted in the 2nd TVB Microvision Song Contest, hosted by the Pinangese Republic. Hasanistan was represented with the song "Nonsense Screamed Into A Microphone" performed by Chase Mahoning, having qualified to represent the country by winning the national selection 2021 Turanfest organised by the Voice of Hasanistan. The song had been described as part of a experimental genre and consisted of Mahoning screaming incomprehensibly into his microphone, hence the name.[1] It did not have a music video, instead using a stock image of an intoxicated smiley face wearing a rastacap and smoking marijuana.
