The Alliance for National Reconstruction was an Konraqi umbrella organization representing most of the former Konraqi political parties and institutions, It is an amalgamation of many smaller groups, including the VNH itself. Other groups that participated in the establishment of the Front are Balal (social conservative) NDP (liberal) SPK (socialist) and NRM (social democratic) However the NRM parlimentarians left the VNH and sits as an independent faction in the council of representatives,
The Front is described by the Konraqi government as "temporary framework" It is intended to have a significant role in society, promoting "national solidarity" and "unity of mind in political and spiritual matters." Outsiders have critizised it as a step to a single party state Unlike in most single-party regimes, the VNH was more of a political arm of the government, rather than holding actual power over it.
The party dissolved and became the Republican Alternative Party a centrist populist party in the State Union with many ex-VNH'ers being involved in the new party
