The Republic of Hasanistan has introduced its new national sport, rollball. Played on a 25m long, 10m wide pitch with two nets, 2.5 metres wide and 1.75 metres high on opposite sides of the pitch. The game is composed of two teams of four 'outfield' players, who must stay in the green or red area depending on which are they are stationed in, they cannot move from their area, there is also one goalkeeper who must stay in the blue zone. The aim of the game is to get a higher score than you opponent by throwing the ball in the opponents' net. Goals in the opponents' half are worth one point, while goals in your own are worth five due to the difficulty of scoring in it. There are no rules about passing, but the ball cannot touch a 'outfield' player's foot or leg. Rollball is a non-contact sport, no pushing, pulling or tackling of any kind is permitted. An offside rule similar to that of football is also in play. |
