Hasanistan was represented with the song "Nonsense Screamed Into A Microphone" performed by [[Chase Mahoning]], having qualified to represent the country by winning the national selection [[2021 Turanfest]] organised by the [[Voice of Hasanistan]]. The song had been described as part of an [[wikipedia:Experimental music|experimental genre]] and consisted of Mahoning screaming incomprehensibly into his microphone, hence the name.<ref name="Turanfest">[https://hasanistan-gov.blogspot.com/2021/09/turanfest-song-contest-held-to.html Turanfest song contest held to commemorate Hasanistan's established; Chase Mahoning wins with "abstract" entry]. ''Batyr Times''. 12 September 2021.</ref> It did not have a music video, instead using a [[wikipedia:stock photo|stock image]] of an [[wikipedia:Smiley|intoxicated smiley face]] wearing a [[wikipedia:Rastacap|rastacap]] and smoking [[wikipedia:Cannabis (drug)|marijuana]].

Hasanistan was drawn to compete in the first semi-final, performing in position 10. It placed last in its semi-final out of thirteen countries, receiving twelve points in total. Hasanistan had received the lowest amount of points in the semi-final round, receiving one less than Truto in the other semi-final who had received thirteen points.<ref name="SemiFinal">[https://hasanistan-gov.blogspot.com/2021/12/hasanistan-fails-to-reach-2nd-tvb.html Hasanistan fails to reach 2nd TVB Microvision final].
